Picking the first bouquet of flowers follows picking the first greens of the season for salads as one of my favorite things to do in spring (or maybe it's first — I usually hunger more for fresh blooms in the house after a long winter).
Either way, what a joy it is to plant bulbs in the fall and then have something like this in your hands come spring.
Flowers brighten my day, so I am posting these beauties for Maryann over at Finding La Dolce Vita.
I think she could use a little sunshine in her life right now, although I have a feeling it will soon come pouring back to her, because the good you put out in the world tends to find its way back to you in the end.
You can tell from Maryann's blog that she has a lot of goodness in her.
(Hugs to you, and a virtual bouquet!)
Happy spring!
Barbara,
ReplyDeleteI'm speechless. The flowers are so beautiful, but more so, your spirit of kindness and generosity. It is because of those like you that I keep on blogging.
You are an angel!
Thank you.

These flowers are just stunning. I love all the things you grow.
ReplyDeleteYou brighten many days Maryann, so it's the least I could do. Glad you like them! Thinking of you. :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm just a steward of nature, Michele. Flowers certainly lift the spirits.
That was very thoughtful of you Barbara to give those flowers to Maryann. You're a kind soul.
